History of IRCC
Founded
in 1977 by a small, but culturally passionate group of Indian migrants,
IRCC
was one of the first Indian organizations in
whose sole purpose was to preserve and promote our rich Indian
heritage and culture
among families whom had made
Families
were brought together in a sense of community
during many events throughout the year
to celebrate Indian religious holidays and festivities,
where they bonded and carried on ancient traditions.
Today
Twenty
years later, IRCC has not only maintained the ideals of its founding
visionaries,
but has grown considerably in membership, activity and community
involvement.
Today
we stand recognized as a formal organization
with many contributions made towards the growing Indian community
with a special focus on instilling and passing on an appreciation
for our Indian heritage among our youth.
We
not only continue to host many highly anticipated family events throughout the
year,
but have broadened our scope with an active youth club,
fundraising for charities and partnerships with other Indian
organizations
to host larger events serving the greater community.
